If you need to configure a tape drive or a single SSD for operating system access it will need to be configured as a "Pass-through disk".
Open the Arcsap utility and select the "ARC-1886-8I" Device under "LocalHost". Right click and select "New Pass-Through Disk"
Select device as "Pass-Through" and click Create.
Verify Pass-Through device by expanding ARC-1886-8I and clicking on the Pass through device.
Your device is now "Pass-Through" and will be detected by the host operating system.
